When I adopted my rescue pup Raine ( she was found pregnant in a storm drain)….she was very sweet but had been living on the street and was terrified of being touched or held and I was worried that I bit off more than I could handle. I couldn’t get a leash on her and she tried to run away at every opportunity the first week I had her. I had worked with Ellen before with my other dog and knew she was an excellent trainer and an incredible teacher of behaviors but this time I had to work with her remotely and was skeptical that she could help me from a distance. I was thrilled to find out that her remote training was just as easy to follow and her step by step instructions on how to desensitize Raine from her fears have worked wonders. Ellen taught me how to recognize behaviors so that i could react properly, led me through exercises that gained Raine’s trust and gave me specific strategies to handle her skittishness and fears.
